Racecourse Media Group (RMG) have appointed Ben Dowding as Chief Betting Officer, who was former Director of Betting as part of marge between their domestic and international betting teams.

Dowding will now take on his new role with immediate effect after RMG made the decision to merge their teams, with more bookmakers entering the global market.
He is a long-serving member of the team having joined RMG in 2013 as Head of Partnerships, later going on to become Head of B2B. Moving further up the ranks, Dowding then became Director of Betting, holding that position for six years. That now takes him into the Chief Betting Officer role.
Prior to joining RMG, Dowding worked as Sponsorship Manager and Regional Sponsorship Manager for the Jockey Club.
Also, over the last three years alongside working for RMG, Dowding has served as a non-executive Director at BocaSports, the Dublin-based retail betting technology specialists.
RMG Chief Commercial Officer Nick Mills said: « Ben has a huge amount of expertise in the sector,

Entering his 12th year at RMG, Dowding said the following: « I am delighted to have been asked to expand my responsibilities internationally. There are significant and exciting opportunities to enhance further both revenues and awareness for British and Irish racing via this new collaborative approach to the domestic and global betting markets. »
Who Are The Racecourse Media Group?
RMG are the backbone for the 35 shareholder racecourses that have an interest in RacingTV, GBI Racing and Racecourse Data Company.
They hold the rights for content coming from these racecourses that is broadcasted in over 7,000 licensed betting offices in the UK and Ireland.
Among those courses who are members of the Racecourse Media Group include Aintree, Cheltenham, Exeter, York and Kempton Park.
